Dual transducers...locations?

I'm going to be installing a hummingbird 595c on my boat this weekend and moving the lowrance x-50DS up front next to the trolling motor. My question is can I keep the lowrance transducer mounted on the rear of my boat. The lowrance is a dual freq. unit and operates on either 83kHz or 200kHz and the humminbird is a single freq. unit operating on 200kHz. If the lowrance is kept of the 83kHz freq and the humminbird on the 200kHz can the transducers be mounted next to each other? Anyone with experience or expertise on this subject I'd be happy to hear from.

Thanks!

Re: Dual transducers...locations?

That's not an ideal situation and only trial and error will indicate whether or not it works. But if you have a trolling motor and are spending your serious fishing time up front, why would you want the the transducer for the bow mounted locator mounted at least 15 feet away from where you are -- especially in shallow water. I'd mount it on the troller.

here is a photo of my through hull transducer for my raymarine network sounder. just on the other side of the keel and about 2 ft to the stern is another flush mounted through hull style transducer for the factory installed depth finder and both work at the same time without any interference.
