Hello.<br />Does anybody know what the proper compression on a 3 horse 2 cylinder 1962 ducktwin (3044B) is supposed to be? Mine shows 50# on both cylinders and I wonder if this is a bit low.Also how much does this engine weigh? Are they rare or quite common?<br />Thank you for your comments,Rolmops

rolmops,<br /><br />50# is fine. These are NOT high perf. engines.<br /><br />I also own a Ducktwin (66' model) fold up type. The only difference was the paint. I also own two other fold ups, all 66's.<br /><br />One of the best little motors made. Not sure about the weight.

take your bathroom scale out to the garage and find out

I just checked it on the old omc site,it weighs 33 pounds

The 1952 Evinrude 3 HP is 30 lbs. which should be the same motor.
