Dumb carb question

Do square bore and spread bore have different bong patterns? (I'm sure they do, just conforming here)
Reason for asking is I am looking for an original Mercruiser throttle cable bracket for my 4bbl conversion. My square bore Holley has a 5 3/8" distance between the rear bolts. I have found a bracket from a "4bbl", but the owner hasn't measured it yet.

Re: Dumb carb question

I won't bother fixing my typing error...how in the world did my fingers type "bong" instead of bolt.... I also said conforming instead of confirming, as then everyone else will be wondering where the bong stuff came from :D

Typos make the world laugh sometimes.... :p

Just for complete-ness to Bondo's list, Merc also used a few square-bore Holley carbs too, at least in the early-mid 70's on Ford engines.

I just need a way to attach the throttle cable without spending big $$$ on Holley's support kit.
