Many were made by Winchester and are the same as the Model 1300. Take it to any gunsmith shop and they should know at a glance what it is.

Shotgun trivia! :D ! :D -- What/how determines the guage of a shotgun (410 being the only exception)? Very few hunters, shotgunners know this, I learned it in small arms school, over 50 years ago in the navy. I spent some time, as a prison chaser, working prisoners on hard labor details, and had to go to a special small arms school to qualify, as we carried the 1911 45, and remington 1100 12 guage riot guns. :D :D :D :D :D

Did you know the answer, don't be ashamed, or alarmed if you didn't, as a lot of experts in the field do not. Except for the 410, which is actually .410 caliber, the guage is determined as follows. you take a pound of lead, and form it into balls with the diameter the same as the diameter of the barrel, and the number of balls you get will be the guage. Example, you take 12 balls of lead the same size as the diameter of the barrell weighs one pound, it is a 12 guage, 16 balls = 1 pound, it is a 16 guage, and so on except for the 410. :D :D I have won a lot of bets with this question, in the last 50 years, but have won very little money. WHY? Because the mentality of many men, is you shoot them a birdy, or bet them a seemingly simple question about their sport/hobby they cannot answer, and they they will not pay up, they will first call you a lier, and if you do not drop it immediatly, they want to fight you, unless they are too weak for that, in which case you do not want to turn your back to them. :D :D :D :D :D :D

When all else fails, find and "old-timer" gun smith. I have a few of them as buddies and they can remanufacture anything - usually cheaper than buying from a catalog. And the best part, you get to listen to their old stories as they make the part for you - while you watch. I have a great time with these guys! It is worth going to them even if I can make the part myself!

Lucky Jim,

Does it load and eject from the bottom of the breech? If so, it's a rebadged Ithaca.

LJ,

Do you load the shells from the bottom? Also, does it eject them from the bottom?

By bottom, I mean in front of the trigger ass'y.

Ithaca's were one of the few that operated that way. They did build some firearms for the Ted Williams line.
