Duraspark Ignition Module

ok i have seen a few comments in threads about converting to a duraspark ignition module i have attempted to do so but have a kink or two that needs answers... it appears as tho im not getting a trigger signal (atleast not one the duraspark module recognizes) i have a 1970 115 hp johnson model 115ESC70D it has the pickup not points in it not sure whats causing my issue

after a day of investigation and thought found the source of my problem... pulse pack ignition does not use a voltage inducing pickup to trigger the module, it supplies 4 volts to a optical hall effect pickup so im thinking a TFI module may allow me to do what im up to anyone with any experience have input??

I have never converted one, but will the maker of the module give you any assistance?
