I have a motorguide 34# trolling motor. Anyone have any idea how long the battery (wal mart
trolling battery) will last after a full day of fishing (6 to 8 hours)? Can I go a few days without
having to charge it up? Any info is greatly appreciated! I just bought the battery and have not
used it yet. Thanks, MB

I always charge my deep cycle batteries after each use. Lead acid batteries do not have memory, so it's best to charge them each time.

There are several factors on how long the charge will last. How high you set the motor speed is a big factor. How much amps the motor draws vs how big the battery is. I would buy a battery meter (about $12 at the loc Wal-mart) and check it often. I would recommend recharging it as often as you use it. It will degrade the life of the battery if left drained even a little.
