I am looking to upgrade my 115HP E-tec G1 with a G2. I have found a used G2 motor with very little information about it other than its a new, never been mounted to a boat, 150HP 4 cyl manufactured around 2015. Would this motor use electronic controls? Is there an easy way to decipher what type of controls it requires? I am not familiar with the workings of the motor but surely the mechanism for the cable controls would be somewhat easy to notice with the covers off the motor.
