eagle cuda question

Alright, this is probably a stupid question, but here goes. I just mounted an Eagle Cuda (don't know the model off the top of my head) and haven't had a chance to get the boat in the water yet. With the boat on the trailer, when the unit is turned on, it reads anywhere from 89-119 ft. Is this normal since the boat is out of water, or could there be some sort of problem?

That is normal. Transducers have to be in water to work properly.
