Eagle fisheasy not working

my fish finder is not working it hasn't sense I got the boat but the original owner has passed and I have no manual to it there is a wire that doesn't go to anything that looks as it should go to something and also there is one going back to the sonar and then one going to the battery
sometimes when I hit the power button it will beep and a small black line will come on and then nothing but most of the time it does nothing

It's probably time for a new FF. That one is pretty old even if it did work and Eagles aren't made anymore,

Had an Eagle FF when I first got my boat. I unfortunately forgot to take it out of the boat when i stored it in a local mine for the winter. The next season mine did exactly as you speak. Few black lines and occasional beep but nothing more. I think the humidity got to the unit in storage but cannot speak for sure. I just went and bought a new FF and all has been good since.
Not the answer you are looking for but most likely yours is toast.
