eagle transducer

i have a transducer from a eagle fish finder that came with a used boat.are most eagle transducers compatable with other eagle models?<br />both transducers look very similar one finder was a I.D.PRO the other is a ultra 3 portable.<br />And if I can use either unit is there a procedure to solder\shield the connection to the new connector.??Thanks in advance.

Are the connectors the same? If they are they are most likely compatible. Even if not some of the older models (insert and lock connectors) can be made to function with and adapter cable (gray to black connector). Check under depthfinder accessories at the Cabelas site they list which transducers are compatible with which finders.
