early 80's Glastron ssv info. needed

I'm looking into getting an early 80's glastron ssv 167 that is for sale locally. I don't know much about boats, and washoping someone here would have some information on this boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your in the prop forum, but I will bite. You might want to checkout the Classic Glastron website. It is a good site, and there is a forum there frequented by Glastron enthusiast. I have a 1978 Glastron SSV-188 powered by a 140 hp Johnson and I love it. Some say that Glastrons from this era are prone to rot problems, but mine is still rock solid. Any early 80's boat should be looked at carefully because there could be hidden problems, but if all checks out, I think you will like the boat.

My folks had a '77 SSV-188, that I grew up on. Their's had a 115 Johnson. I loved that boat, but you don't see many that are in good shape. They sold it about 6 years ago and got a newer boat, but I can't find any 188's out there. Do you have pics of your boat? I love seeing different ones.

That's the exact one we had. What a nice boat! What I wouldn't give to have it back! Who did the interior and is it still the original floor plan? Thanks for the pics. Would love to see more if ya got em. Thanks
