I have a 94 60hp johnson. When I put it on muffs it shoots a solid yet weak steam out the telltale, when Iam in the water it shoots a strong solid stream out the telltale. I tried pushing the earmuffs tighter creating a better seal between the muffs and the pickup and the stream increased quite a bit at the telltale, Iam wondering if my muffs are just getting worn out and not creating a tight enough seal or if this maybe the impeller starting to show signs of wear, the current impeller is just over a year old and has less then 30hours on it and appears to pump tons of water when its in the water(I have never heard the overheat buzzer).
