Mine's fine! Finally got an Ultima 4 and love it. Of course I sold it right after I tried it, ordered another and sold it before I used it. Could have sold the one I got coming today. The U4 works so much better on the Hewes than anything else it's not funny. Come on down, we're all headed out Sunday...

Where are your buddies headed?

The Owner and 2 of our other dept. heads are staying at a place called sandpiper condos?? Eaglewood or something like that...
Honeywell has a trade show of sorts taking place about 45 miles from there. I "think" the reason they are in that area is because Honeywell is also pushing some new marine nav equipment that was aviation-born.
Sounds like Golf clubs will be the largest size of baggage...
So....let's here about the U4...Hows the lift?

Ah, the ol' "convention" gig.

The U4 has great overall lift. Works great on most flats boats and bay boats. The Lake & Bay boats don't like them but most others do. It's the only prop that will get my Hewes completely up on the pad. It's faster and gets up better than even the Power Tec that is supposed to be "the" prop for my boat.

What do you think of the U4 as an option on the Ranger?? Renegade Bass paperweight now....23P. The 24P Raker gave the best top-end but he didn't care for the slightly slower hole-shot.

Might be an interesting test. In most cases once we get over 23" we end up with a Lightning. The 23 U4 works great on a 22 Pathfinder with a 250. We have a 23 U4 that for some odd reason seems to be really hard to spin. I'll check with Smitty and see if he still has it.

We tried it on his Lake & Bay but the boat was real skiddish and made us both kinda uneasy. The U4 also works good on the newe Ranger bay boat.

Just talked to Smitty and he still has the 23 U4. If you want to go for the shipping he'll be glad to send it.

Yea, let me fire the Pro Tour back to ya and tell Smitty we'd like to get data with the U4-23.

10-4, good plan.....I'll be very interested in the results.

BTW - I ran a 19 Vector this weekend. 51.7 at 5500 on the Hewes. The 19 U4 was a bit over 56 mph at 5800.

Kinda hard not to like the looks of both numbers with the U4...5800 is about what you're looking for is it not?
Obviously hookin' quite well also..

5800 is good (Yamaha 150 Saltwater II Series). I've been after them to make a 20 and 22, looks like they may be close. Can't wait to try the 20....
