Easy question I am sure

I have been a "lurker" on this forum for a long time, you guys really know your stuff. I have an alpha one drive that I would like to drop the lower unit on to change the impeller. Can anyone tell me what to use to get the trim tab screw out with. I have tried up to 3/8 allen and still no go. Also I want you guys to know that you have provided me with a valuable education in the past months.....thank you

I am pretty sure that it is a 5/8 allen...but I'm sure that Don will jump in here shortly, and either confirm...or straighten me out!

It should be a 3/8 allen if your drive is not a gen 2. If the plug above the hole was missing there could be sediment in the head of the bolt. Use a small screwdriver and an air nozzle to blow the sediment out. If you drive is a gen 2 then you just need a 1/2 socket with extention.
