Running a 21" SS on my boat if i wanted to go 5 balde or 4 blade SS what should i be looking at pitch wise. The 21" is perfect and hitting max revs allowed just looking to get something different for pulling tubes and skiers

I guess i hear drop one size for a 4 blade. Is this the rule of thumb? How many for 5 blades

Re: Easy question

Typically going to a 4 blade it is suggested to drop one inch in pitch. Assuming same material and brand.
Is your rpm and speed a secret?

Re: Easy question

While it seems your setup is working pretty good if we knew your boat brand ,year, size and the motor info
we could tell if your setup is at its best.

Re: Easy question

I would go 21p 5 blade. You will have tremendous holeshot and pulling power. But you most likely will not hit the same max mph as before.
