I have a 1998 242 Rinker Fiesta Vee with 5.7 V8 EFI... I had to have the engine rebuilt when I thought my fuel pump had gone out and took it to get replaced. The engine block was cracked so I had it rebuilt. After months and months of paying and waiting I finally got my boat back the day before I left for a 321 day deployment overseas. Now I am back and hoping that weather breaks in the next few weeks so I can get my boat ready for the season. The rebuild was completed, new fuel pump and 3 shops have told me I need a new ECM that mine is bad. I have the engine serial number 0L093092 and have looked in every manual I can find to get another ECM and they all say NLA... No longer available? Does that mean I cannot get a replacement for my boat? I found this part number for the ECM which says NLA 861542T1 (861542R03). Don if you could please let me know if you know anything of these or is there a cross reference to a replacement ECM.
Thanks
Joe

Hope you made it back safe and sound, Thank you for going over there for us.;):)

When running the R03 number the system says to order 861542T03, This is an active number.
http://www.psepmarineparts.biz/store/mercruiser_ecm_modules.htm

But before ordering the T03 number, using part number 861542T1 call 435-684-3171 to see if they have one you can buy, Good luck.
