I am trying to tune my rich at idle running Edelbrock 1410 on my 1996 Mercruiser 7.4L 300HP. My current setup on the Edelbrock is .116 primary, .110 secondary and a metering rod of .073x.047. The mercruiser manual calls for a .107 main jet and a .098 secondary jet. The manual also calls for a metering rod part number 16-757347 which I assume is .073x.047. If I change the Edelbrock jets and metering rod to the mercruiser recommended specs, it seems like it will be extremely lean. The Edelbrock calibration chart doesn't even show this combination of rods and jets. The closest I can find on the chart is .107, .098, and a metering rod of .068x.047

So I have two questions...
1. Does this jet and metering rod combo seem too lean?
2. Do any of you have this carb on your 7.4L and if so, what jets and metering rods are you using?
Thanks
