Doesn't the intake have 4 holes so you can run at an angle or straight fwd?

So you think you need a new housing? I am getting confused. If you have one... you should be able to use it no problem. There are 4 mounting holes but you only use 2. Here's a pic from Jegs of the intake p.n. 2111. Does yours look like this one?

yes thats the one ok so i only have to use 2 holes to mount houseing, the other 2 will be covered with the gasket right, what about the angle,my old one was stright, old style 2 part houseing,i just bought houseing this summer, its already loaded with rust,im putting these parts on a reman block,im buying all new parts, right up to the valve covers,i figure i can always sell any parts that are good off my old rusted engine, and there wont be many, almost wish i bought a drop in.

Yes, just use two of the holes. It shouldn't matter if the others are left open... the threads should not extend into the water area. So, it will be ok if they are left open. Yes, cast parts do rust quickly when exposed to water. I believe thats part if boating. When i had my thermostat housing off, i glass bead blasted inside and gave it a good coat of rustolium... to help slow the rust process. Put your old housing on the intake and turn it where it needs to be and put the bolts in... shouldn't be a big deal.

Or if you can't get her to work... i will take off my cast 2bbl mainifold and mercarb and swap ya :D

Re: edelbroock 2111 intake manifold

The problem is the Edelbrock manifold has the water outlet off center and angled, and stock manifold is centered and straight. I can tell you from personal experience that this manifold will not work on an OMC with any marine t-stat housing;the alt is in the way. A guy wanted me to install this very manifold on his Cobra-ended up returning it and buying the factory iron 4BBL manifold
