well the previous problem of loss of power was fixed by adding K44 cleaner to the fuel
but what can i say, when it rains it pours, i have a new problem i never had before, when reaching about 4000-5000 RPM the gear seems to slip to neutral, it doesnt slip all the way into neutral,if i wont throttle down, the RPM rise up and slowly it goes into neutral and the boat slows down
happens only on high RPM 4000-5000 , cruised back from fishing today at 3000RPM and it worked ok.
what could cause this ?

That is usually caused by a slipping prop hub.

That is usually caused be a slipping prop hub.

Access the rear of the prop and with a magic marker, grease pencil or what have you scribe a mark from the bronze spline out to include the inner hub of the actual prop material. Reassemble and run it till it does what you said. Access it again and if the line is not straight like you made it Dave nailed your problem. A prop shop or new prop can solve your problem.
