EFI Fuel pump

I have a 2001 Sea Ray with a 305 cid TBI that i have had a fuel smell in the bilg. I took the cover off the fuel cooler and the fuel pump is loose on the elbow going into the cooler. Is this right? If not is there an easy way to tighten the fuel pump? Or do i have to take the whole thing apart?

Is this the Mercruiser Cool Fuel system you are talking about?

Yes it is.

No, the pump does not tighten down on the elbow. There are orings on that elbow that seals in the cooler and the pump. The box and the retainer bracket holds it together.
