I recently loaded my boat with my Eide roof top boat loader. While loading I heard a loud pop and afterwards the gear motor ran with no movement of the rope roller. I removed the motor and it appears to be ok and runs. Shaft does not have any teeth missing.
Now I have my boat on my truck with no way to get it unloaded. I am looking for a replacement gear motor and roller, but the ones I find are complete units and are many miles away. I will have to find someone or business to unload and reload while on an extended trip. I can find no one that has parts for this old reliable outfit or manufactured it originally.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
