I have to replace the canvas and eisenglass on a boat I just bought. Does anyone have any experience with stratoglass? It cost more than eisenglass but I was told that it is much better, lasts longer and less prone to becoming opaque. Is it worth the extra money?

Re: eisenglass vs, stratoglass

Just installed new flybridge curtains with the strataglass. Way too early to give you any pro's or con's. After a bunch of research we decided to go with the strataglass strictly on their reviews. Couple of other boats in the area did the same but all are less than a year old - still look new - jury still out on those as well.
Seems to be a superior product so hopefully the price differential will be justified.
I'd go for it.
P.S. Read their warranty closely - some sunscreens will discolor the coating.
Wasn't concerned about it for my application.
