I was down in st pete this weekend, on business so to speak. A couple of my buddies wanted to rent a boat, but after rent, gas insurance it got too be too much

Then we stumbled on someone who rents electric boats..

We rented it at night for 4 hours, it has a meter to tell you battery charge so you know how much time you have.

It was a blast

quiet
no smell
lots of room, batteries under seat
plenty of zip, we were just putting around the harbors so we were pretty much always in the no wake zones.

we had wine, beer, bread, cheese

There was a live band at the rib fest

Apparently they also have a winter model that the curtains go down on and it heats up pretty well.

dont know about the cost, she claims it costs 70 cents to recharge all 10 batteries but that cant be right,

It was alot of fun, low maintenance, just the batteries, and they charged with a 110 plug

I would get one for just pleasure touring around the lake myself.

She claimed they could go for 10 hours on a charge, but I dont know at what speed.

Later!
