electric downriggers

Hi,

I just picked up two electric downriggers for my '08 pontoon boat with a 60 HP bigfoot on the back. Can I connect into the current battery since downriggers really will only be used while motor is running, or should I just buy an extra marine battery for downriggers only or ???

No need for a second battery but the starting battery should probably have a little higher capacity than one would normally install. It all depends on how often and how long your run the downrigger.
