Electric fuel pump and placement

I have a 89 7.5 L OMC 460 king cobra.

I've decided to go the electric fuel pump route. I know about installing the Oil pressure switch. I'm more curious as to which electric fuel pumps everyone likes and placement

1) . Should the new electric fuel pump be placement between the fuel tank and fuel/water separator or.....should the pump be placed in between the carb and the fuel/water separator?

2) Should I install a primer bulb to prime the electric pump in case it sits dry for a while?

Also any wiring help would be much appreciated. There's a lot of info out there about oil pressure switches with relays or no relay whatsoever.

Thanks again for reading and any advice you guys may have

Between carb and filter. Placing it there helps protect the pump from crud

No :nono: primer bulbs are only used on outboards. They can be used on I/O's and other for testing purposes only

One other question. Looking at the parts diagram for my engine, it looks like it already has a oil pressure switch installed with just one prong. This might sound like a dumb question but bear with me...I know I need a 3 prong oil pressure switch, but do I just remove the old one or wire both of them in?

The oil switch that is currently installed is to sound the alarm if pressure goes below about 4 psi. It grounds the lead which turns on the horn/buzzer under the helm.

Use a Brass Tee fitting and connect them both to the port
