I just picked up this motor and am amazed at how little information I can find on it. Merc 110s are super common, but I can find very little on the ones with factory electric start. Does anyone out there have any info or could point me in the right direction? Looks to be a '78 by serial #.

Unfortunately I have an electrical problem because I don't have spark. I had my dad pick it up for me and it's really not what I expected. Long shaft, no spark, etc. I was going to just sell it but if it's as rare as it seems I may hang on to it after all. Story is it was used most of its life as a kicker motor on a big boat and set up for steering controls. Was supposed to have ran when put up but not looking good. Starter is unhooked and missing the bottom cap/terminals.

Start with basics. The electric start is just a bonus. It will come with a higher output stator
