doesn't look like it... see reply from Chat GPT

Conclusion

  • Based on available documentation, Johnson did not produce a standard 6 hp outboard with electric start in their typical production runs.
  • There may be rare or one-off exceptions (or mis-understandings), but nothing credible supports a widespread “6 hp electric-start Johnson” model.

You can always do it by damaging the crankshaft threads with a drill gun on the flywheel nut like others but most likely no one here will recommend it.

Cast your own flywheel perhaps and mount that lawnboy starter ...I've seen harder things made. 🤪

thanks...it was just a thought as I was scrapping out a bunch of "riders" and had a pile of 12v starters...and the thought crossed my mind....I'm pretty crafty...and the main issue I saw was the angulation of the gears meshing ...as i said just a fleeting thought to ponder

Most 6 HP motors in good condition start up without issue.-----Find the right starting procedure or trouble shoot the motor.
I'm not having a starting issue with my motor...I was just looking at the possibility of the connivence of "push button" starting...was just checking out the viability of a thought...since I scrap ...and have a pile of 12v starters from riding lawnmowers
