electric trolling motor.

need help.manuals and or instructions<br /><br />trolling motor. model 743, motor guide four.<br />the motor currently installed on my friends new boat. there was no instructions/manuals ect, with the motor. <br /><br />need help identifing what the knob on the left side does. also a three position switch,and operating the foot feed. appreciate any help.

I'm going to give it a guess here but I would say the knob on the side is for the speed of the motor, the 3 posistion switch is more than likely, 12V, Off, 24V.<br /><br />Hope this helps some.

After thier quality control nightmare of 2 years back (looooong story..)I refuse to buy Motor Guide products, but the 3-way switch could also be : Momentary, constant and off.
