Electrical issue with dials in dash

I connected the battery back after winter (2 red cables going to + and one black going to -) and the dials on the dash are all over the place (oil pressure, trim, temperature) and the lights on buttons are flashing. The engine turns on fine however I don't know why button lights are flashing and dials fluctuating. Got a new battery to test and it's doing the same thing. I feel something needs to be reset like a fuse. Any suggestions?
