My bro-in-law has a 25' SunTracker pontoon boat 4 cyl 135hp. mercury.<br /> Last trip out the motor at first would not start it would turn over then finally started . once warmed up ran great,started and stopped the eng. several times no problem. later it quit on him and nothing, you could turn the key but no power all of the guages would max out IE: RPM maxed at 7000 motor not running,trim showed up when unit was really down the volt meter went to 18 and the motor was not running and would not turn over not even a click. He pulled the starting battery out to put at the trolling motor. When i got there I put another battery in the starting position I noticed that the red rubber cover that protects the hot terminal had a burned hole in it. The boat started and he made his way back to the ramp and then it died again and would not turn over this time all guages remained in the normal position as if the key was off<br /> Any suggestions?????<br /><br /> Thanks <br /><br /> Tom H.
