Electrical problem with high output yamaha cruiser waverunner

HELP!!!! I have a 2004 Yamaha High Output Cruiser waverunner. I was in some really rough water in Orange Beach and the battery came loose. The ski went dead like I hit the kill switch a couple of times. I looked in it and found the battery loose. Battery died in the accident. I put in a new battery and I get no gauges or turnover. It turned over once right after I changed the battery then dead again. After trailering it home I tried it again and it cranked, then dead from then on. I checked the fuses...OK. Replaced the fuses. I have tested the starter relay, main/fuel relay, rectifier, and cables. Still no guages or turnover. Battery is good. It came out of my other running ski and shows 12v. I checked the main relay by testing it and swapping it with my FX140. (Same part number). I checked the rectifier by swapping it with th one out of my FX140 (same part number). Security system dead also. I have the shop manual and don't see anything else I can check. Any suggestions??? I'm at my wits end.

sounds like the ground cable is loose or making a bad ground at the engine end ,check that and clean it and see if it solves your issues

Thanks. The cables surely got some abuse when it happened. I've felt the cable and it feels secure. I got continuity from the battery end of the cable thu the top of the motor using a multi tester. I hooked a stater/charger directly to the connector where it goes into the electrical box and attached the ground cable to the engine. Still no guages or turnover. Shop says they will plug it up to the Yamaha diagnostic software for $82.50. I don't know if that software will detect my problem. Got any more suggestions or recommedations?

can't test continuity with a tester,, remove it clean it and try again also find any other ground wires and clean them it is the most common cause of electrical problems with a ski

Yamaha shop just called and said the ECM had to be reset and its now running. $95. Who would have ever guessed I should have started with the Yamaha shop?
