Electrical switch on throttle next to Trim switch, what is it's function?

VP running gear..Boat seems to run fine with out it..I would really appreciate help understanding what this switch is and if it should be replaced..Thanks for the help..loving this site!

Probably the trailer switch. It lifts the outdrive higher than the trim switch does to allow extra clearance when the boat is on the trailer.
