Is it avaliable to this engine? i cant seem to find much on this.

it's always available. You can get some old i/o rams and a volve 290 pump and put trim on anything. If you gave more detail on engine such as year, model, horsepower in english words then you are likely to get a specific answer from somebody who knows that engine. A picture is always great help too. Somebody may not know the engine exactly but recognize the mounting brackets.

Ok,its a 1973 johnson 85 hp, (85ESL73M). A buddy gave me a complete tilt/trim unit from a '86 90hp evinrude but its way to wide for tilt on this engine.

cmc jack plate is probably the best way for that engine. the cheap way is to forget trim and stick with tilt. the 90HP system may have a center ram with ss tubes going into top and bottom. you could rig that up to be a tilt cylinder and scrounge around for some old flexible sterndrive hoses and a pump. the stringer I/O is a good pump to fit your engine. so $125 and a roll of duct tape might do it. Won't be the prettiest thing on the river but it will get your boat on and off a trailer. or, better yet, buy a cmc jack plate. The factory system to fit your engine is usually $300-$400 for a used one in really crummy condition. Unless you get lucky, it won't be worth the money.

The power tilt and trim assembly for this engine is part number 0172670. Its list price is $735 but it is obsolete !

The same assembly fits 1973 65hp longshaft, 85, 115 and 135 hp engines and also 1974 70hp longshaft, 85,115 and 135 hp engines.

Maybe you can find a motor being broken for parts or a second hand assembly.
