A little assistance please. Rebuilt my entire electrical system. New Alt (140amp), 160 amp isolator, coil, rotor, plugs,on and on. Got to the lake today ran great for 4 hours then started smelling a lot of gas and it started to feel like flooding. Could idle but not able to go past idle RPM. Now it sounds like the carb. I have not replaced the fuel pump and now instead of rebuilding the 4 BBL OMC 350 just buy a new one? Any thoughts to what trouble shooting process I should do first before I shuck out 300 bucks? If I do any new upgrades to a OMC GM 350 V8 in a 1988 Bayliner 24.5 footer? I feel another rebuild coming on!! Help in OKC needed...

Rochester? Does it quit after idle? I would check fuel filter in front of carb first. Jeff

This is a Rochester with divorced choke. I will be going out to fill up my glass bottle checking fuel pump real soon. Let you all know what I find. I orderd a NAPA fuel filter and will replace anyway. Thanks for any other thoughts.
