I picked up my new as prop and my old alum prop today from a local prop shop. They remanned the old alum one so now it's a very nice spare.

But they also said that there was some signs of electrolysis on the old prop.

I do not have a zinc washer on where the prop shaft is? Do I need one?

If an aluminum prop has a full coat of paint on it, there's no issue. If there's some bare spots, it will corrode slowly, so yes, put a zinc anode on it.
