electronic conversion kit

i'm looking to switch to electronic ignition on my 1975 302. couple things i'm wondering about. 1st do i want a kit with a full distributor or will the 1 with the piece that just replaces the points be just as good? of course i want to do it the best way possible. 2nd where do i buy it online? also what all needs to be replaced? guessing distributor with cap n rotor, plugs, wires,coil?

Why, properly serviced the system is better from a service aspect

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... You need to pull the distributor to inspect it 1st,......

If the shaft is still tight in it's bore, 'n the advance plate, 'n springs are in good shape, the pertronics kit will work,.....

If it's worn or or the advance plate is boogered up, you'll need a complete distributor,.....

2nd where do i buy it online?

I'd hope you shop right here at iboats 1st,....

If you go with a Pertonix make sure you get the Ignitor II not the first version. It prevents the unit from burning out if the key is left on. I converted my old boat to Pertronix. It worked great and nothing to maintain with it.
