Elgin year model?

I'm helping out my brother who just acquired an Elgin (Sears) outboard. Mod. 571.58642 <br />S/N 6423349 It also has 6.0-OBC certified BHP @ 4000. Can someone identify year of make and who made it for Sears? Where can he get parts and a manual? Sears.com does not have this model number in their database. Thanks.

It is a 53 built by west Bend for Sears.It uses<br />16:1 fuel mix with TCW3 rated oil.You may be able<br />to find a generic manual here or possibly<br />amazon.com, ebay. maybe repairmanual.com<br />For parts try Laings outboards<br />at www.laingsoutboards.com or www.tcoutboard.com<br /> also the Antique Outboard Club at <br /> www.aomci.org
