That picture was snapped about 12 miles north of here. (just kidding) It could have been!<br /> <br /> We have a group of bull elk that are referred to as "the bachelor bunch" - 10-12 huge bulls that hang out on private property, just south of the nearest "big water" - Chatfield Reservoir.<br /> <br />I've seen elk do a lot of things - including fight like that. Never in the water, but I wouldn't say it's not possible. You're looking at one of the top 5 most dangerous mammals in North America - a bull elk in rut. They do some crazy/scarey stuff when they're rutting!<br /> <br />Neat pic! (even if the water is faked)
