I recently purchased a 1995 175 Yamaha. I was wondering about emergency procedures for dealing with faults/failures while on the ocean. For example, I know about the switch for manually pumping oil to the primary reservoir. Also I understand that a failed electronic control/computer can be bypassed by disconnecting the yellow wire from its harness. Is this correct? Are there other procedures for overcoming engine faults to be aware of?
