Emergency rope start for 66 9.5 sportwin

Is there an emergency rope for starting if your manuel rope breaks?
By the way this is the most useful forum since the Corvair forum that I found when we had our 66 Monza.

Yes, it is a heavy duty nylon cord attached to a wooden handle, a handy item to keep in ones onboard toolbox. If you can't locate any, send me a Private message (click on my name to the left) as I have a few of them left in my remaining stock.

In a pinch....just about anything will do. I've started outboards with shoelaces before. Nothing quite like being a 3 hour boat ride to the nearest access, and punching your buddy in the face with the broken pull cord!!:D
