Hey all,
Spent the weekend out on the boat and ran across a problem I have not had before. When the engine is cold and I push down on the throttle to plane, the engine bogs down and dies. I check and the bulb is soft. If I pump the bulb the boat planes, no prob. This happened all weekend. If I stopped for an hour with the engine off, it would occur. If I was running for hrs, I could stop and plane all day.
The problem only happens when I turn the engine off for any extended period. Other than this the engine ran great all weekend.
Thoughts?? Bad bulb? Bad line? clogged fitler?? Fuel Pump?
Where should I start?
Thanks in advance,
