You should fill out the profile.
Trying to figure out a problem like this and us knowing if your running in a lake or salt water will help.
In my signature I tell people I live in Fl. and boat in the salt.
The problem: looks like a leak. Then it dries and leaves the crust/ minerals.
In salt water it would be salt.
It looks like the gasket between the block and the adaptor plate has failed..
The fix: pull the motor and replace the gasket and use a bunch of sealer.
One of my motors started leaking in the same spot.
I just covered it with silicone. Still working after 3 years.
