Engine Checklist????

I bought a boat about 6 months ago. The motor been running real good but the only thing that I know about checking is the oil. I'm afraid that I'm leaving the rest of the engine dry or damaging without notice. I don't know what other fluids to check for and how to. Can anybody help me out with an engine checklist that I can follow everytime before I take the boat out. Its a 98 175 h.p. Mercury Black Max outboard.

Buy a manual for your engine. For general maintenance, generic (Seloc) is ok and will teech you everything you need to know. Best investment you can make.
