Hi all,

I dont have all the technical vocabulary in english yet but I ll try to be as clear as possible.

We just boat a boat with a Yamahe 15hp engine from 1995 and had to sail/drive it for about 60 kilometers. The first 55 kilometers went fine but during the last 5km the engine was lacking thrust, and its noise was deadened.

We tried the boat few days after. The engine was lacking a lot of thrust and after 3 minutes the it stop working forward though still working ok backward.
We realized that a transmission pin was broken. We changed it.

The engine start working again but stops at idle and still lack a lot of trust. It sounds as if the engine is unable to pump the gasoline.

My first question is : can the two problems be related. Could we have damaged some part of the motor driving with a broken transmission pin?

We are going to clean up the carburator. If it is clean and the engine still does not work, should we check up the pump next?

Thanks for your help
