I have a 2 piece rear main seal engine with a 14" flywheel and the coupler is triangular with no external spline sleeve. The splines are in bad shape. Can I use the door knob looking coupler to replace it? It says it will fit a 2 piece rear main seal, but it mentions nothing about the flywheel. Help!! I'm trying to replace the current 1984 5.0l with a 1984 GM 5.7l with alpha one gen one outdrive. The more things I read the more confused I become. Does the door knob coupler only fit 12.75" flywheel? What bolt pattern does the 14" flywheel have? If it's the triangular coupler I need, do I need to buy a different yoke?
