My son has a 88 Wellcraft that had a 305 in it, he put in a new engine, Merc 305, and now the engine cover doesn't fit, is there a good fix for this? Thanks
It's not just on your boat. The newer engines are taller because of the manifolds and other accessories. Especially the EFI engines.<br />Have had to modify a number of covers that were designed for close fit over an engine. I/ve seen everything from complete new engine covers to the old ones sitting on 2X4's.
