Engine cranks, won't start

Volvo-Penta QA125. How do I check to see if I'm getting a spark? In the fall I changed the points, cap and rotor and plugs and it ran fine before winterizing it.

Joe, <br />To check spark, take the plug wire off from one of the plugs, insert screwdriver into the cap so that it touches the matal connector inside the wire. Ground that screwdriver to valve cover. Have someone crank the motor while you are holding the screwdriver. If you see a spark, outrule ignition system. Be careful when you are doing it. If you smell gas fumes, do not do it. <br />Make sure your gas tank valve is open.<br />Check if your fuel pump is working.<br /><br />Good luck.
