Engine cutting out

I have a '95 Four Winns Fling. The engine started cutting out and dying on me this weekend. I was able to get it going again (after several attempts) and it would be very sluggish. The engine is a 115 JE/V4. What do I need to be looking for? Plugs? Fuel filter? I ended up draining the battery trying to get it going again.

fuel starvation issues is the first place to look or old fuel try running it off an small fuel tank with fresh gas and see if it stops acting up.
