7.4L MIE GEN. VI 454 dies after running about an hour. Need advice, the engine runs fine for about an hour then you can smell it run rich. The RPM’s start to drop and you can’t throttle it back. The engine dies and will not restart. After sitting for a couple hours It will fire back up but only run for about 30 minutes before it dies again. When I say it runs rich you can physically smell the raw gas from the exhaust as it cuts out. Dropping the throttle down completely will not allow it to return to idle.
