I have a 1989 GtJohnson 150 I have not had it out in about 6 months I took on the lake after adding fresh gas it starts fine and Idle fine but when I push the throttle down it dies If I choke it as I push the throttle .It catches up and run great at high speed but it will go from a slow idle speed unless I push the choke and kinda hold it until it takes hold....Any advice

it seems that you have a fuel starvation problem, check your fuel lines and fuel pump.
I think that you are in the wrong forum section, try posting in the Johnson repair section

Hi, Puffen.

Welcome to iboats. :)

The title of this forum is Outboard Non-repair.

Engine troubles go in the Troubles and Repair fora.

I will move this to Johnson/Evinrude Troubles.
